Rhonda K. Bigler

Rhonda K. (Kohler) Bigler, 62, of New Philadelphia passed away July 15, 2017 following a automobile accident in Harrison County.

Born in Dover on January 19, 1955 Rhonda is the daughter of Bert (Phyllis) Kohler and the late Shirley A. (Riker) Kohler.

After graduating from New Philadelphia High School in 1973, Rhonda began working for Harcatus CAO, Inc. where she presently was the Nutrition Division Director. She served in the Senior Nutrition and Child & Adult Care food programs.

Rhonda’s faith was nurtured at NewPointe Community Church in Dover where she was an active volunteer. She also devoted numerous hours to help see the Friends of the Homeless shelter in New Philadelphia come to fruition.

Most importantly, she loved the title of “Grammy” to her little sweetie, Nathaniel.

She will be deeply missed by her dad, Bert (Phyllis) Kohler of Dover; her daughters, Tennile (Nick) Puskarich of Carrollton and Sara Bigler of Dover; her sister, Suzanne (Randy) Church of Florida; brothers, Al (Gloria) Kohler of Strasburg and Jeff (Patti) Kohler of Florida; her dear grandson, Nathaniel Puskarich; her sister-in-law, Marcia Bigler of Dover; her step-siblings, Cindy (Mark) Perry of Dover, K. Michele (Gary) Fisher of Mineral City, Tom (Peg) Smith of Dover; her aunt, Joy (Paul) Beitzel of New Philadelphia; and her dog, Oscar.

In addition to her mother, Shirley, who died in 1983; she was preceded in passing by her grandson, Nicholas Allan Puskarich and a dear Aunt Carol (Riker) Fantine.

Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. A service celebrating her life will be held in the funeral home on Friday beginning at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Stone Creek Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Rhonda’s memory may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
