Ray L. Johnson

Ray Lee Johnson, of New Philadelphia went home to be with his Lord and Savior, June 25, 2014 in Union Hospital at Dover.

Born January 26, 1960 in Lancaster, O., he was the son of the late Donald W. and Shirley Ann (Church) Johnson.

After graduating from high school, Ray spent his lifetime sharing his faith as a pastor through the Apostolic World Christian Fellowship. He was also known for his musical ability; being able to pick up any instrument and making beautiful music with it.

Ray also dabbled quite a bit in home improvement work.

On April 30, 1995, Ray married his wife who survives, the former H. Marie Harlow.

He is also survived by his children, Brandon L. Johnson of Orange City, Florida, Sierra L. Johnson and Leaira M. Johnson, both of New Philadelphia; his siblings, Donald A (Linda) Johnson of Lancaster, Danny W. Johnson of Logan, and John G. Johnson of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Shirley (Smith) Harlow of Uhrichsville; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony Harlow of New Philadelphia, Timothy Harlow of Cincinnati, Thomas Harlow of New Philadelphia, Gary Harlow , Rosemary Vandyne of Newport, Kentucky, Betty Schnuck of New Philadelphia, and Hezery Harlow of Kentucky.

No public visitation or services are scheduled at this time. Cremation has been cared for through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory.
