Randy Lee Snedeker

November 12, 1947 — June 27, 2012

Randy Lee Snedeker, 64, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully in Schoenbrunn Healthcare at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.

Born in Dennison on November 12, 1947, he was the son of the late Albert Edwin Snedeker and June Louise (Herman) LaCroix. After attending high school, Randy joined the United States Army in 1966 where he honorably served his country.

He was a former truck driver and welder.

Randy’s life memberships include the Tusco Rifle Club, the American Cooking Club, the Vietnam Veterans Association #857, the National Rifle Association, the Dover V.F.W. #3463, the New Philadelphia AmVets, Health & Wellness, and the North American Hunt Club. Randy was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Randy will be deeply missed by his daughters, Mandy Jo Snedeker and Vanessa Rios, both of New Philadelphia; his former wife, Vicki Snedeker of New Philadelphia; his twin sister, Sandy (Harry) Leeper of Dennison; his sisters, Becky (George) Leeper of Dennison and Cathy (Bill) Tice of New Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Henry, Ysrael and Aubrey Snedeker and Micah, Mya, Sophia, and Isabella Ramos; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Jo Snedeker; his step-father, Don LaCroix; his step-mother, Mary Snedeker; and one brother, Billy Snedeker.

Visitation will be held in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia on Sunday July 1, 2012 from 1 to 4 p.m. A service celebrating Randy’s life will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Larry Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in Dover Burial Park.
