Ramona D Donahue

Ramona D. Donahue, 86, of Poland, Ohio and formerly of Strasburg, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family, January 9, 2015.
Born November 15, 1928 in Strasburg, she was the daughter of the late Jesse M. and Izetta (Philabaum) Hall.
After completing her formal education at Strasburg High School, Ramona married her lifelong companion and friend, John L. Donahue on August 15, 1948. Together, they lived a beautiful love story. They greatly enjoyed traveling the country in their RV. They remained residents of Strasburg until 1972, when they moved to Poland.
Ramona also loved flowers and gardening. Most importantly, she treasured her family. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, John of Poland; her children, Paula (Bill) Lewis of N. Myrtle, South Carolina, Nancy (Jim) Curry of Asheville, North Carolina, and Steve (Linda) Donahue of Poland, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and her daughter-in-law, Diane Donahue of Strasburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Donahue; and her granddaughter, Aimee Lynn Donahue.
Visitation will be held Monday in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover from 10:30 to 12:00 p.m. A service celebrating her life will be led by Pastor Brian Flood beginning at 12 p.m. Immediately following the service, friends are invited to the hospitality center in the funeral home, where a meal will be shared. Private burial in Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg will take place at a later time.
