Ralph “Butch” Lawrence II, 69, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 unexpectedly at his home in Stonecreek.
A son of the late Ralph and Dorthy (Rosch) Lawrence, Butch was born June 26, 1946 in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
Butch was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School, and then went on to work as a x-ray technician all around the world. He owned his own motorcycle shop, British Cycle Works, where he also worked for many years.
In his free time, Butch enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking long walks in the woods. Although he enjoyed the outdoors, his passion was his British motorcycles. He spent hours working on the many that he owned, as well as racing them on a half mile track.
Butch is survived by his wife, Janice (Baldwin) Lawrence, whom he married January 17, 1976; two sisters, Emma (Tom) Paonessa and Margaret Barnett and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son Ralph “R.C.” Lawrence III.
Keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia.
