R. Scott Brooks, age 63, of Uhrichsville and formerly of Wooster, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017, in Akron City Hospital following a sudden illness.
Born at Wooster on January 1, 1954, Scott was a son of the late Dorothy (Hines) and George Brooks. He was a 1972 graduate of Wooster High School and worked for a number of years as the meat and deli manager for the former Teeters Grocery Store in Strasburg. Most recently he was a truck driver for Superior Speedy at Akron.
Scott loved animals, riding his Harley, being outdoors, and spending time in his pool during the summer months.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patsie, whom he married on May 25, 1988; three sisters, Georgiana (Michael) Blouin, Judy Hines, and Penny Brooks; a brother, George (Brenda) Brooks and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Sillman.
In keeping with Scott’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services. Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory is handling cremation care.
