Philip Bradshaw Paull, age 83, of Dover, died Monday, October 20, 2008.Born July 26, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he was a son of the late Philip and Nellie Conley Paull. Mr. Paull was president of Briggs & Turivas Inc. of Dennison prior to his retirement in 1982. He attended the First Presbyterian Church of New Philadelphia, was a life long member of Uhrichsville’s Lodge 422 BPOE, and Pittsburgh’s Germania Lodge 509 F & AM. He was a naval P.O. during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Additionally, he enjoyed woodworking and traveling.He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Ruth Betz Paull, and a sister, Margaret Maxa of Pittsburgh. Phil is survived by a son and daughter-in- law, Brad and Lori Paull, and granddaughter Allison of New Philadelphia; daughter and son-in- law, Phyllis and Andrew Kushner, and grandsons Michael and Brian of Spring, Texas; step-daughters, Sandra Ballard and Patricia McGrew, their children and grandchildren; his unyielding companion, Susan Cox of Dover, who endeavored to keep him alive and happy for the last ten years.The family will receive friends from 12:30 â?? 1:30 PM on Thursday, October 23, 2008, in the Linn-Hert Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Pastor Richard Greenwood will lead a 1:30 PM service celebrating Phil’s life in the funeral home’s chapel.
