Peggy Lee Wyman

Peggy Lee Wyman, 79, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 in Union Hospital at Dover following a brief illness.A daughter of the late Ebert and Hazel (Wesley) Swinderman, Peggy was born June 6, 1932 at Midvale, Ohio.Peggy graduated from Midvale High School in 1950. She retired from Cooper Shoes at Monroe Mall where she was a longtime sales associate.She was an avid homemaker and especially enjoyed decorating and arranging flowers. During her younger years Peggy enjoyed traveling the United States, Canada and even to Europe. She also had a passion for animals.Peggy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family.Surviving is her husband, Ernie Wyman whom she married on September 19, 1951; her daughters, Beth “Betsy” (Dan) Becknell of New Philadelphia and Cindy (Chuck) Berger of Newcomerstown and a granddaughter, Tammy (Jason) Colley of Pickerington, Ohio.In keeping with Peggy’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services and cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory at Dover.Contributions may be made in Peggy’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater East Ohio Area Chapter, 70 West Streetsboro Street, Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236.
