Pauline Tinor

March 21, 1915 — July 27, 2015

Pauline Mae Tinor, 100, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, July 27, 2015 at her home following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Harry Clatterbuck and the late Florence (Strickmaker) Ramel, Pauline was born March 21, 1915 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.

Pauline was a member of the former St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church at Roswell where she served as the organist and was a member of the Altar Society. She was currently a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia.

She led an active life and enjoyed being on the go. Pauline was a member of the Red Hat Society, the New Philadelphia V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the Roswell Senior Center. Pauline enjoyed playing Bingo and taking bus trips and riverboat rides.

Pauline also enjoyed caring for flowers and especially enjoyed the companionship of her faithful dog, Poochie.

She is survived by her children, Ron (Gerry) Tinor, Patricia Guthrie and William (Cathy) Tinor all of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Corinna (Jim) Ploughe of Charlotte, North Carolina, Perry (Robin) Waltz, Linda (Matt) Incarnato, Susan Guthrie, Robert Tinor and Michael Tinor all of New Philadelphia; her great grandchildren, Dylan Horsfall, Olivia and Bailey Ploughe, Jennifer (Michael) DeBois, Carly Incarnato and Rylan Tinor; her great-great grandchildren, Blake and Jayli Lanzer and Gage DeBois and a brother, Charles “Bud” Ramel of Naples, Florida.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Torino Tinor; a grandson, Brian Tinor and a sister, Gloria Schumacher.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Pauline’s life will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Fr. Jeff Coning and Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Burial will follow in Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens. Following the committal service a luncheon will be held in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia.

Contributions may be made in Pauline’s memory to Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
