Paulette K. “Polly” Marks, age 69, of Dover, passed away peacefully early Monday afternoon following a brief illness. Born at Dover, August 22, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Sue Tatliak Marks. She was baptized and raised in faith through the Grace Lutheran Church at Dover, and more recently attended the First Christian Church at Dover. Best known as “Polly” to her family and friends, she was a 1958 graduate of Dover High School. Following graduation, she worked for a variety of companies, including the former Cummings Diesel for more than twenty-two years in their parts department. She’ll be remembered as a familiar face in Buehler’s Parkside, and most recently in Giant Eagle, where she worked in the seafood and deli departments. Most recently, Polly sold Gold Canyon candles to family and friends alike. Polly dedicated most of her life to caring for her dogs. Over the years, she cared for as many as six at a time, but was very fond of her mixed Beagle, “Paco”, and her cat, Angel. Survivors include her sister, Gwen Marks-Baldwin, of Dover, and two brothers; Aaron (Kim) Marks, and Alden (Kim) Marks, all of Woodland, California. She’ll be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews; Todd (Theresa) Krieg, and Bart Baldwin, both of Port Charlotte, Florida, Bret (Jessica Moeglin) Baldwin, of Dover, and Elisa, Conner, Makenci and Kayla Marks, all of Woodland, California. Great nieces and great nephews, Nicole Krieg Hagey, Jay Krieg, Casey German, and Dylan Baldwin, as well as a great-great niece, Alyssa Hagey, and a great-great nephew, Conner Hagey, also survive. An uncle, Jack (Delores) Marks of Dover, and an aunt, Bertha Tatliak of New Philadelphia, and completes the family. In addition to her parents, Polly is preceded in death by many aunts and uncles.
