——————————————————————————–Paul W. Mast, age 63 of New Philadelphia, died peacefully Thursday afternoon, April 10, 2008, in Aultman Hospital at Canton. Born at Bars Mills June 16, 1944, Paul was a son of the late Carson Monroe Mast Sr. and Mary Ellen Miller Mast. Paul attended school as a young boy at Barrs Mills before his family moved to Sherrodsville. Paul graduated from Conotton Valley High School in 1962.Following graduation, Paul went to work at the former Alsco plant at Sugarcreek. He moved his family west to California, before returning to the Tuscarawas Valley in 1970.Mr. Mast was a well known for his work in automotive sales. He was affiliated with a variety of area auto dealerships, including the former Indian Valley Motors. When not at work, Paul enjoyed golfing and shooting pool, the latter of which earned him numerous trophies. He was a fan of both the Cleveland Indians and the Browns. Mr. mast was a member of the Lighthouse Outreach Center at Strasburg. Most of all, Mr. Mast will be remembered by his family as a man who was always doing something for others. He leaves behind two sons; Randall Mast and his fiancée Shannon Potts, and Richard Mast, all of New Philadelphia, three grandchildren; Shane Boswell, Kristen Boswell, and Chase Mast, all of Dover. A brother, Carson (wife Kay) Mast Jr. of Dover, a sister, Judy Fantine of New Philadelphia, and brother Glen Mast, also of New Philadelphia, and a half-sister, Doris Gavin of Orrville complete the family. Friends are invited to call Sunday afternoon from 3-5 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. Pastor Jason Snyder will lead the Mast Funeral there Sunday afternoon at 5PM. Following the committal, a reception will be held in the funeral center’s hospitality suite. Cremation will follow the service through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. Those unable to attend are invited to share memories and condolences with the family by visiting the funeral home’s website.
