Paul D. Gibbs

PAUL D. GIBBS, 78, of Sherrodsville, died Tuesday, June 4, 2002 at Union Hospital.Paul was born April 16, 1924 in Goshen to the late Arthur J. and Mary C. Schumacher Gibbs. He was reared in New Philadelphia and graduated from New Philadelphia High School. Paul was a charter member of Schoenbrunn Moravian Church. He also belonged to the Tuscarawas Valley Gem and Mineral Society. By profession, he worked as a utility man for Union Camp before he retired. Along with his wife, Paul enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary D. Turson Mackey; a sister, Mildred Creal of Mims, FL; nieces, Carolyn (Charlie) Tuck, also of Mims, FL, and Myra (Bud) Eckhardt, of Marietta; nephews, James (Mary Ann) Creal of New Philadelphia, John (Patty) Bihari of Stone Creek and Joe Bihari of Midvale; several great nieces and great nephews. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Bihari and a brother, Charles Gibbs. Calling hours will be on Friday evening, June 7, 2002, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia. The funeral service will be on Saturday, June 8, 2002 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Michael R. Foran officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Moravian Church Cemetery.
