Patricia Ann Hunsicker

Patricia Ann Hunsicker, 69, of Dover and formerly of Marion, Ohio, died Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at her home in the loving care of her family following an extended illness.She was born December 27, 1936 in Sycamore, Ohio to the late Ezra and Dortha (Corbin) Swartz. A graduate of Marseilles High School in 1954, Pat was united in marriage to Eugene Hunsicker on June 27, 1954 in Kenton, Ohio.During her lifetime, Pat was a devoted wife and mother of four who enjoyed gardening, sewing, fishing and collecting. She retired in 1988 after 11 years of employment at Foodtown of Marion where she took great pride in her work as a cashier and thoroughly enjoyed and extended kindness to the customers she served.She is survived by her husband, Eugene, two sons, Randy (Judy) Hunsicker of Kenton, Ohio and Brian (Kim) Hunsicker of Marion, Ohio; two daughters, Valerie Hunsicker of Mansfield, Ohio and Krista Hinkle of Forest, Ohio; seven grandchildren Keith Risch and his friend, Sue of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Tony and Jessica Hunsicker of Kenton, Ohio, Greg Campbell and his friend, Angela of Marion, Ohio, Hunter Hinkle of Forest, Ohio and Evan and Alison Hunsicker of Marion, Ohio; one great-grandchild, Hayden Campbell of Marion, Ohio; two sisters, Betty Gieshard of Mansfield, Ohio and Carol (John) Boblenz of Marion, Ohio; mother-in-law, Frances Hunsicker of Kenton, Ohio, sister-in-law, Jane (Merwyn) Hastings of Lima, Ohio; brother-in-law, Richard (Bea) Hunsicker of Dowagiac, Michigan; numerous nieces, Nephews and cousins and her loving dog Cricket, who devoted much of her time by her side and gave Pat so much love.Pat was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Donald Swartz, Glen Swartz, Charles “Junior” Swartz and Darrell Swartz and three sisters, Lola Robinson, Bonnie Cochrane and Sharon Swartz.In keeping with Pat’s wishes, cremation will take place in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover and a private family service will be held at a later date.Memorial contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, OH 44622.
