Oscar Francis Pritz

Oscar Francis Pritz, age 91, of Mount Holly, North Carolina, formerly of New Philadelphia, died Friday, December 23, 2005 in the Stanley Total Living Center at Stanley, North Carolina.Born at Morgan, Pennsylvania, February 23, 1914, a son of the late Oscar and Anna Pritz, he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia. Mr. Pritz married the late Lucille Anderson Pritz on Valentine’s Day, 1938. The two celebrated fifty-three years of marriage prior to Lucille’s death on April 12, 1991. Oscar’s family include a daughter, Carolyn Marks and her husband, Charles E. of Mount Holly, North Carolina, a brother; Joe Pritz of New Philadelphia, five grandchildren; Jan Marks and wife Amy of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jodie Ballard and husband Dave of Richmond, Virginia, Jeff Marks and wife Tammy of St. Petersburg, Florida, James Marks and partner Scott Berube of Buffalo, New York, Jayne Alston and her husband, Patrick of Charlotte, North Carolina. Eight great-grandchildren, Christopher and Allie Ballard of Richmond, Virginia, Michelle, Sarah, and Jennifer Marks of St. Petersburg, Florida, Jacob, Lucas, and Noah Marks of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Friends are invited to call Wednesday, December 28 from 6-8 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia where Christian wake services will commence at 7:45. Msgr. George J. Schlegel will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial Thursday at Noon at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow at East Avenue Cemetery.
