Norma Jean (Lineberger) Gilmore, 83, of Uhrichsville, died Thursday, October 23, 2014 in Country Club Retirement center at Dover following a period of declining health.
A daughter of the late Leo and Alice (Reeder) Lineberger, Norma was born December 12, 1930 at Uhrichsville, Ohio.
Norma graduated from Uhrichsville High School. She continued her education at Aultman School of Nursing, where she obtained her R.N. license.
On November 10, 1962, Norma married Blaine Gilmore and together the couple raised a daughter and shared in 49 years of marriage prior to his passing on October 27, 2012.
For nearly four decades, Norma cared for hundreds of patients having had the opportunity to work obstetrics for many years where she helped to deliver and care for many babies and their families. Prior to her retirement, Norma turned to the aged end of nursing care where she was employed by a number of area nursing facilities. She was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church at Uhrichsville, the Eastern Star Arbutus Chapter 288 and a lifetime member of the Dennison Depot.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Lineberger of New Philadelphia; a niece, Cindi (Don) Wagstaff of New Philadelphia, and two nephews, David Voshall of Uhrichsville, and Roger (Karen) Voshall of Parma and their families.
In addition to her parents and husband, Norma was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie Lynn Gilmore who passed away January 27, 2014, and a sister, Mary Parker.
Private services will be held in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens at Dover.
