Norma Jean Bolon, 71, of Hennis Care Centre, Bolivar, and a long-time resident of Fair Ave. N.W., New Philadelphia, died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, in Union Hospital.Born Sept. 12, 1930, in Barnhill, she was a daughter of the late Desper and Ethel M. Walton Ohler. Norma attended McKinley High School, Canton, and was a cook for the J-N-G Grill, New Philadelphia, for many years.She was a member of Roxford United Methodist Church, Dennison, and of the Roswell Senior Citizens.Survivors include two daughters, Christine H. (Richard) Hunter of Cadiz, and Ethel M. “Toots” (Richard) Brooks of Bolivar; four sons, Michael J. (Susan) Bolon of New Philadelphia, Clifford D. “Chip” Diane) Bolon of Tippecanoe, Randolph S. (Rosemary) Bolon and Jody B. (Ida) Bolon, both of Tuscarawas; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two brothers, William D Ohler of Witchita, KS, and Donald Ohler of Tower, MN.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. “Mickey” Bolon, in 1997; two grandsons, John Joe and Billy Joe Bolon; and by three brothers, Earl, Jack and Cliff Ohler.A funeral service will be held Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at 2 p.m., in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, with Rev. Henry E. Mooney officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Philadelphia. There will be a reception in the Geib Family Center following the committal. Visitation will be Saturday (today), Feb. 9, 2002, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., in the funeral home.
