Nora Marie Moroni

Nora Marie Moroni, 97, of New Dawn Health Care Center, formerly of Midvale, died peacefully Thursday, July 17, 2003. Born May 2, 1906, she was one of eight children born to Joseph and Mary Palauro Pauline. On November 23, 1938, Nora married Charles Moroni who, after forty-one years of marriage, preceded her in death on December 12, 1979.Nora was a lifelong homemaker and member of the former St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Midvale, transferring to Sacred Heart Church upon St. Paul’s closing. She leaves behind an extensive family of nieces and nephews, Eugene (Norma) Bonvechio of Gnadenhutten, Emma Strimbu and Patricia (Frank) Buss of New Philadelphia, Larry (Evie) Wisintainer, Faith (Ray) Mason, and Barbara Wisintainer, all of Dover; Joanne (Paul) Drotovick and Joanne (Dwight) Rhodeback both of Canton, O, and Rosemarie (Edgar) Sanner of Pittsburgh, PA; many great-nieces and great-nephews and many more great-great nieces and great-great nephews.In addition to her parents and husband, Nora was preceded in death by five sisters, Ana Pizzini, Lucy Bonvechio, Edith Wisintainer, Emma Boggiani, and Helen Franz, as well as two brothers, Fred and Martin Pauline. Friends may call Sunday, July 20, from 6 to 9 pm at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home, New Philadelphia, where Christian wake services will commence at 8:30 pm. Msgr. George J. Schlegel will celebrate funeral mass Monday at 10:30 am in Sacred Heart Church. Burial, alongside her husband, will follow at Calvary Cemetery, New Philadelphia.
