Nina Ruth Espenschied, 80, of New Philadelphia, died December 13, 2006, in Park Village Assisted Living in Dover.A daughter of the late Commodore and Lera Baker Hinson, Nina was born August 29, 1926, at Dover.Nina was a 1944 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. She worked for Goshen Dairy and the City of New Philadelphia. She and her first husband, William “Jumbo” Prince Jr., owned and operated the former Prince Motors in Dover, Ohio. Nina volunteered her time at Union Hospital for many years.In addition to her parents, Nina was preceded in death by her first husband, William “Jumbo” Prince, Jr.; son-in-law, John E. Otte; brothers, Howard Hinson, Donald Hinson, Bruce Hinson, and Jerry Hinson.She is survived by her husband, Delmar Espenschied, daughter, Mary Ann Otte (Fiance Larry A. Mushrush) of New Philadelphia; son, Jeff (Helen) Prince of Fredericksburg, Virginia; grandchildren, J. Samuel (Jolene) Otte, Joseph W. Otte, Lucas J. Otte, Jared Prince, William R. Prince; sister Freda (Albert) Margo of Dover; brother, Robert (Melinda) Hinson of Columbus, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, December 15, 2006, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. Services will be conducted by the Dr. Rev. Steven Bailey on Saturday at 10:00 am at the Geib Funeral Center at Dover. Interment will be in Ridgecrest Memory Garden at Dover.Following the committal, a reception will be given for family and friends in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia, adjacent to the funeral home.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to charity of your choice.
