Nicole Alexis Carpio, 16, of New Philadelphia, tragically died with her grandmother, Aurea, in an automobile accident on Sunday, January 21, 2007 in New Philadelphia.Born May 18, 1990 in Manila, Philippines, she is the daughter of Dr.Victoria Carpio.Nicole enriched the lives of all who called her a friend, or loved one, acquaintance, or classmate. Her infectious smile and grace immediately put those around her at ease.Nicole was an honor student with a desire to continue her formal education, that would prepare her to follow her mother’s footsteps in caring for young children as a pediatrician. At Central Catholic, Nicole participated in the school choir, the dance team, the Spanish Club, the Pep Club, and Habitat for Humanity. She also played the piano.Nicole is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover where she served as a lector.In addition to her mother, Nicole will be sadly missed by her uncles, Mr. Victorino (Melania) Carpio and their son, Vincent, and Dr. Orlando (Dr. Erlinda) Carpio, and their children, Patrick, Michael, and Kristen; her aunt, Dr. Eleanor (Dr. Henrito) Jimenez and their children, Dr. Joseph, Philip, and Jana Jimenez; her grandmothers; and numerous cousins and friends.Nicole was preceded in death by her grandfather, Mr. Guillermo S. Carpio.Visitation will be held in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover on Friday, January 26 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Christian Wake Service commencing at 8:00 p.m. Father Bill Arnold will celebrate funeral mass Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover. Following the funeral mass, a meal will be served in the Geib Funeral Center. Entombment will take place at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens in Woodbridge, New Jersey early next week.
