Nellie Mae Kimble, 91, of Dover, died Saturday February 26, 2005, at Union Hospital in Dover.She was born October 14, 1913, at Isleta, O. in Coshocton Co., the daughter of the late George Armstrong and Lyda Belle Allison Barcus. On December 14, 1935 she married her childhood sweetheart Edward Ray Kimble; with whom she shared her life until his death in 1985.Nellie was a member of the First Moravian Church of Dover, and was an artistic person who enjoyed crocheting and puzzles. She enjoyed attending square dances with her son, Ron and daughter-in-law, Jean and was considered an honorary member of the Nuhall, Scootertown, Star Promenader’s, and Red Lantern dance club’s. She also enjoyed visiting the Civil War battlefield at Perryville, KY., where her grandfather and great uncle fought. Her great uncle Henry Barcus was killed during the battle.She is survived by sons, Delmer C. (Geri) Kimble, of New Philadelphia, and Ronald R. (Jean) Kimble, of Dover; daughter Sara J. (Eugene)Chadwell, of Follansbee, W. VA; sisters, Georgia Miller and Evelyn McMurray, both of Dover; grandchildren, Beth A. (Rick) Varnes, of Dover, Julie E. (Gary) Sweet, of Ft. Plain, NY., Lonnie R. (Cheree) Kimble of New Philadelphia, Troy D. (Trela) Kimble, of Bolivar, and Tana J. (Jeff) McClenaghan, of Dover; great grandchildren, Abby and Madison Varnes, Courtney and Joshua Myers, Corey, Jessica, Jasmine, Jade, Brandon and Trenton Kimble, and Kayla and Jennifer McClenaghan; honorary daughter (great niece) Robin Dickey Geers and her son’s T.J. and Nathan; pen pal, Kathleen Swigart, of Portland, OR.; many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband, Nellie was preceded in death by brothers, Jason, Henry and Harvey Barcus; sisters, Ruth and Edna Barcus, Doris Deihl, Margaret Stephan, and Ada Haga; several nieces and nephews and great nieces.Visitation will be held Monday, February 28, 2005, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 1, 2005, at 11 a.m, with Rev. Allen Bergman of the First Moravian Church and her son-in-law, Elder Eugene Chadwell of Community of Christ officiating. Burial will be at Dover Burial Park. Following the committal a memorial reception will be held in the hospitality room at the Geib Center.Memorial donations may be made to the First Moravian Church, 319 N. Walnut St. Dover, OH 44622
