Naoma Dale Minnich

Naoma Dale Minnich, 88, of New Philadelphia, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 6, 2007 at her home.A daughter of the late Ernest and Oma (Barnett) Covert, Naoma was born May 18, 1919 at Uhrichsville, Ohio.Naoma graduated from Midvale High School in 1938 and on August 7th of that year, she married the love of her life, Charles “Bud” Minnich.She was a member of Sharon Moravian Church at Tuscarawas and was a former member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Auxiliary. Naoma enjoyed sewing, especially articles of clothing for her family.She is survived by a daughter, Donna (David) Miller of Canton; a son, Ed (Dolores) Minnich of Massillon; two granddaughters, Lisa (Bob) McConnell of New Philadelphia and Lori Madsen of Dublin, Ohio; great grandchildren, Alexandra and Molly McConnell and Hunter Madsen; and several nieces and nephews.Naoma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bud, who passed away on June 18, 2000, and two brothers and two sisters.Family and friends may call on Thursday, August 9, 2007 in Sharon Moravian Church at Tuscarawas from 10 to 11 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in the church with Rev. Michael Foran officiating. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery.
