Nancy Yaggi

Nancy Lee Yaggi, 75, of Tuscarawas, died suddenly on Monday, October 1, 2018 at her home.

A daughter of the late Jewel Virgil and Rosemary Reta (Corey) Maddox, Nancy was born August 19, 1943 at Dover, Ohio.

Nancy was a graduate of Dover High School and was a longtime employee of Joy Manufacturing where she retired after 38 years of service.

On January 31, 1975, Nancy married Walter Eugene Yaggi and together they raised a daughter, Deborah. The couple shared 42 years of marriage prior to Walter’s passing on September 21, 2017.

She was a member of Jerusalem Church. Nancy loved the outdoors as well as hunting and competition shooting with Walter. She also enjoyed cooking and canning, crafting, knitting, reading and completing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Bruce Allen of New Philadelphia; her granddaughters, Chase Allen and Kennedy Lee Allen; a sister, Patricia (Donald) Huprich of Dover; and her nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a granddaughter, Courtney Allen.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 5 to 8 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Nancy’s life will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Tom Hendershot officiating. Burial will follow in Jerusalem Cemetery.
