Nancy Seng

Nancy Jean Seng, 83, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 25, 2017 in Truman Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Ewart Perry and Sarah Jane (Still) Miller, Nancy was born December 28, 1933 at Uhrichsville, Ohio.

Nancy was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School at Dennison and retired from Hennis Care & Retirement Center at Dover as a Registered Nurse.

She was a woman of great faith and she dearly loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus. Nancy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Bolivar and she cherished her time with the Thursday Night Bible Study group. Nancy was a true prayer warrior and she enjoyed reading her bible. In her younger years, she enjoyed crocheting and cross stitch.

She is survived by her husband, John L. Seng whom she married on September 2, 1956; her children, John (Debra) Seng of Findlay, Ohio, Patricia Swick of Dover, Rebecca (Mark) Weber of Madison, Mississippi and Stephen (Gina) Seng of Columbus, Ohio; 10 grandsons; two great-grandsons; a great-granddaughter; a brother, David (Hedy) Miller of Tucson, Arizona and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes cremation will take place through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A memorial service celebrating Nancy’s life will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Bolivar with Rev. Mike Pozzuto officiating. The family will greet guests from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. A luncheon will follow the service in the church.
