Nancy K. McGeorge

Nancy K. McGeorge, 63, of Wainwright, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 19, 2011 in her home of complications from COPD. Born September 18, 1948 at Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Patricia Iden.Nancy was a graduate of Glen Oak High School and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Canton.She was a lifelong resident of Canton prior to moving to Wainwright last year to be closer to her daughter and granddaughter.Nancy enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Catherine, who was always eager to share a popsicle with her and brought a smile to her face.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marnie and Steven W. Carlisle of Wainwright; her granddaughter, Catherine “Katie” L. Carlisle of Wainwright; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Linda Iden of San Antonio, Texas; a niece, Gia (Craig) Walton of San Marcos, Texas, a nephew, Scott (Stephanie) Iden of San Antonio, Texas; a cousin, Donald (Beverly) Iden of Fresno, Ohio and a sister-in-law, Pamela (Scott) Mathews of Canton.Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William E. McGeorge who passed away in 2002 and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Anita McGeorge.The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Nancy’s life will follow at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Lewis Johnston officiating. Following the service, a luncheon will be held in the Geib Family Center at New Philadelphia.
