Nancy Ann Lorenz

Nancy Ann (Malloy) Lorenz, 60, of New Philadelphia, died Friday, October 11, 2013 in Affinity Hospital at Massillon following a period of declining health.

A daughter of Carol (LePort) McPherson and the late John J. Malloy, Nancy was born December 15, 1952 at Columbus, Ohio.

Nancy was a self employed housekeeper and she occasionally attended St. Paul’s Community Church at Mineral City. She had a love for the outdoors and especially enjoyed gardening and reading in her favorite chair on her porch. Nancy also enjoyed family holiday gatherings.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her children, Thomas E. (Fiancee, Dana Kimbrell) Lorenz II of Waynesburg, Ohio, Jennifer D. (Stephen) Russell of New Philadelphia, Anna M. (Lance) Norris of Beach City and Caitlin C. Moger of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Paige McGuire Eff, Michael Vance, Shelby and Hunter Norris, Tristin and Martina Lorenz and Faith Russell; two great grandchildren, Khalil Thomas and Khloe Eff; two sisters, Linda (Paul) Boyd of Mineral City and Kathy Malloy of Naples, Florida; two brothers, Bill Malloy of Stone Creek and John (Cindy) Malloy of Newcomerstown and a special friend, Roseanne (Chuck) Abercrombie of Dover.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father; her step father, Russell McPherson, a daughter, Candace Moger; a grandson, Gabriel Russell; a sister, Madeline Malloy and grandparents, Carl and Lucille Miller and Ann and John Malloy.

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 4 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with Pastor Mark Gross officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3 to 4 p.m. in the funeral home. Following the service, a meal and time of fellowship will be held at First Christian Church at New Philadelphia.
