Mildred Patricia Sickels, 75, of Sherrodsville, passed away Monday, July 23, 2007, at Aultman Hospital, in Canton following a brief illness.A daughter of the late, Homer and Daisey Mae Johnson Boitnott, Mildred was born January 16, 1932 on the family farm near Stone Creek, O. She married Richard L. Sickels in 1949 and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1999.She attended York School and had formerly worked as a saw operator for the Alsco Company in Sugarcreek and at the former Conely’s Department Store, of Dover; however she will be remembered by her family as a loving homemaker.Mildred had attended Roxford United Methodist Church.She is survived by a daughter, Marsha (Carl) Harig, of Uhrichsville; sons, Jeff Sickels, of Sherrodsville, Steve (Marie) Sickels, of Wainright, and Rick (Jackie) Sickels, of Uhrichsville; brothers, Homer Gene Boitnott, of Dover, Ted Boitnott, of Gnadenhutten, and Dean Boitnott, of Stone Creek; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Chelsea) Harmon, Stevie, Shawn, Sadie, Shane, Chad, and Ricky (Jenny) Sickels and great grandchildren, Brandon and Kaylee Sickels.In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Ann Sickels; sisters, Shirley Lorenz, Helen Jones and Connie Elson; brothers, Bryant and Ernie Boitnott and grandchildren, Cindy, Carl Lee, and Susie Harig and Jeffrey Sickels.Visitation will be held Wednesday July, 25, 2007 (tonight) from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Bob Mathias officiating. Burial will be beside her husband at East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia. A memorial reception will follow the committal in the Geib Family Center.Those wishing to make a contribution in memory of Mildred may do so at the National City Bank, 245 W. High Ave. New Philadelphia, OH 44663; where a memorial fund has been established.
