Mildred Heidenreich

Mildred Heidenreich, age 87 of New Philadelphia, died in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family, early Friday morning, April 29, 2005. Born at Goshen, November 22, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Millard and Edna Francis Meese. Mildred attended Goshen School before graduating from Midvale High School. She completed two years of business school at New Philadelphia.Mildred worked in the County Auditor’s office during the administration of Victor Martinelli, then in the offices of the former Warner & Swasey and at Joy Manufacturing, before she began work as a legal secretary in the law offices of Krugliak Wilkins Griffiths & Dougherty at Canton. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ. Mrs. Heidenreich is survived by her husband Arthur Carl Heidenreich of New Philadelphia, whom she married September 23, 1968. A daughter; Karen (John) Murphy of Kettering, Ohio, a son; Douglas Smith of Aurora, Colorado, a step-son; Tom (Diana) Heidenreich, of Melbourne Florida, three grandchildren; Heather (Joseph) Zahora of Kettering, Ohio, Jennifer Langdon and Adam Smith, both of Florida, step-grandson; Trevor (Amy) Heidenreich, of Wilmington, North Carolina, three great-grandchildren; Lauren Elizabeth Zahora, Ann Marie Zahora, and Jack Murphy Zahora, and two step-great-grandchildren; Abagail and Spohia Heidenreich, brothers Harold (Doris) Meese of Sugarcreek and Norman (Molly) Meese of Bowling Green, Ohio.In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ann Marie Murphy, and two brothers; Millard and David Meese. The Rev. Jeff Gerber and Jill Lovett will officiate a private family funeral service Monday in the Chapel of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. Burial will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. There will be no public visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West Third Street, Dover, OH 44622, the First United Church of Christ, 201 Fair Avenue NW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663, or to the Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Road, Kettering, Ohio, 45429.
