Michele Susanne Susey, age 50 of Warren, Ohio died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in her residence.
Born in Riverside Hospital at Columbus on October 24, 1968, Michele is the daughter of Ralph and Iris Lutz Susey of Dover.
She was a 1987 graduate of Dover High School and a 1995 graduate of The Ohio State University where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She was employed by Town & Country Veterinary Hospital at Warren, Ohio and will be greatly missed by many wonderful clients and their pets whom she befriended through the years.
Michele was a life-long member of the Girl Scouts and made many friends whom she became to know and love as family. She was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cincinnati Reds. She enjoyed camping, traveling with friends to National Parks and visiting abroad. Her most recent passion involved caring for her vegetable garden.
In addition to her parents, Michele is survived by two brothers, Mark (Kelsey Griffin) Susey of Missouri, and Matthew Susey of Westerville; her nieces and nephews, Madison, Adam, and Veronica Susey, August Susey, and Roselyn and Rocco Susey; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will greet guests on Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 2-5 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover, 5600 N. Wooster Avenue, Dover, OH 44622. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Jimmy Hatfield on Monday at 11 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 613 N. Tuscarawas Avenue, Dover, OH 44622. A meal and fellowship will be shared in the Hospitality Room of the Dover Geib Center following Mass. Inurnment will take place at a later date in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery at Lockbourne, Ohio.
For many years, Michele battled with Bipolar Disorder. Her family would like to extend the sincerest gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Moxley and the entire staff of Town & Country and the numerous friends and family who stood by through the many peaks and valleys of Michele’s life.
The family recommends memorial contributions in Michele’s name be directed to any local humane society, pet shelter or mental health organization of the donor’s choice.
