Michele Rae Miller, age 47, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, January 10, 2010, in Union Hospital at Dover follow a sudden illness.A daughter to the late Willis and Moira (Saylor) Tufford, Shelly, as she was known to her friends and family was born on January 10, 1963, at Coshocton, Ohio.Shelly was a graduate of Newcomerstown High School’s class of 1981 and would go on to work for more than 16 years at the former Mr. Donut and then later the Donut Connection at Dover, Ohio. Most recently she had held a position with an area telemarketing firm which helped to raise funds for area volunteer organizations.In her spare time, Shelly enjoyed reading and working on her computer where she would chat with friends and play games online. Baking, playing the card game, Skip Bo, caring for her pets and spending time with friends and family were other passions of Shelly’s.Annually, she looked forward to the Christmas Season when she would take evening drives to look at the holiday decorations and lights that brightened the night sky.Shelly leaves behind a daughter, Chelsey Miller of the home; a fiancée, Donald Gordon, Jr. of New Philadelphia; two brothers, Michael (Rhonda) Tufford of Clinton, Ohio and Marc (Marge) Tufford of Coshocton.Two nephews, one niece, four great-nephews, and three great-nieces as well as a number of aunts and uncles complete the family.A celebration gathering to remember Shelly’s life will be hosted by her family on Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 12:00 â?? 2:00 PM in the Tuscarawas County YMCA, 600 Monroe Street, Dover, Ohio 44622.In lieu of floral offerings, the family requests that memorial contributions in Shelly’s name be directed to the Michael E. Tufford â?? Michele Miller Memorial Fund, c/o any Chase Bank location.
