In addition to his love for the Cleveland sports teams, Mike was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and an active official for the Ohio High School Athletic Association, officiating baseball, basketball, volleyball, and softball.
Mike will be missed by his son, Cory Wood of Uhrichsville; his sister, Deb Smitley of New Philadelphia; and a nephew, Nathan Chitti, who is currently serving in the United States Navy.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a brother, Greg Wood and a brother-in-law, Jesse Smitley.
