Michael McNell

Michael William McNell, age 67, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully at the Community Hospice Truman House on Friday, February 24, 2023 after a period of declining health.

Born on November, 14, 1955 to the late Bill and Bonnie (Ellis) McNell.

Mike was a member of the 1974 St. Clairsville High School graduating class.  After high school graduation he worked in the coal mines, then as a photographer in several newspapers before moving to Granbury, Texas where he was a manager at US Lime for 10 years before his retirement.

In 1985, he married Kristi Bailey, and together they enjoyed 37 years of marriage.

Mike is survived by his wife, Kristi; sister, Becky McNell of Canfield, Ohio; nephew, Brady Stewart and family of Shadyside, Ohio; and his loving in-laws in the Bailey family.

Cremation care has been entrusted to Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home and Crematory.  In keeping with Mike’s wishes there are no services planned.
