Michael D. Winters, II, 44 of New Philadelphia passed away Saturday morning, July 16, 2016 in Union Hospital at Dover following complications from a surgery related to the treatment of pancreatic cancer.
Born in New Philadelphia on June 28, 1972, he graduated from New Philadelphia High School. He was a true entrepreneur at heart. Mike was the owner and manager of Bud and Tooties, a local tavern serving friends and family since 1957. On July 31, 2004, Mike married his constant, the former Jessica “Jessie” Joy, in Tybee Island, Georgia. Together, they were blessed with four beautiful children, John “Cohen” (8), Cooper (6), and Reagan and Reese (4). His grandfather, Kenneth “Bud” Mathias, was also instrumental in Mike’s life and preceded him in passing.
He was a lover of anything with a motor – gocarts, dirt bikes, and fast cars. He also loved to spend time with his family on their boat and snow skiing in the winter.
