Michael D. Brewer

Michael D. Brewer, 65, of Wooster and formerly of New Philadelphia, died Saturday, April 30, 2011 in Union Hospital at Dover.A son of the late Donald and Martha (Powell) Brewer, Michael was born July 23, 1945 at Washington D.C.Michael attended high school in Washington D.C. then enlisted with the United States Air Force on March 22, 1965 serving with the 838th Transportation Squadron.He had many interests in life but had a true passion for music. Michael especially enjoyed music from the 1960’s and 1970’s and his favorite artist was Bob Dylan. He also enjoyed photography and spending time with his family and friends.Surviving are his daughters, Leah (William) Albert of Wooster and Marissa Workman of New Philadelphia and five grandchildren, Emerson and Dylan Albert and Allison, Alex and Aaron Workman.Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Brewer.In keeping with Michael’s wishes, cremation will take place through the care of Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. A memorial celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 4 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with Nathan Douglas officiating. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the service.Michael’s legacy lives on with his Gift of Sight through eye donation.
