Maxwell Wyatt

August 17, 1934 — April 26, 2020

Maxwell E. Wyatt, 85, of Dover, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 in Community Hospice, Truman House at New Philadelphia, following a period of declining health.

Born in Alton, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Denzel E. and Janice P. (Long) Wyatt. He retired as Vice-President of Elpaco Coatings in Elkhart, Indiana and was a former member of the Elks Club in Elkhart. Maxwell moved to Dover in 2015 and was a member the First United Methodist Church at Dover.

Surviving are his wife, Susan (Blevins) Wyatt of the residence, two sons, Douglas (Lisa) Wyatt of Dalton and Scott Wyatt of Wooster; two daughters, Cheryl (Dennis) Franks of Wooster and Roberta Bradshaw of North Carolina; two step-daughters, Melodie Nutter of Dover and Melissa Leadingham and her husband, John Weithman of Lucas, Texas; a brother, Estel (Juleen) Wyatt of Big Prairie; eight grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes, Maxwell is to be cremated through the care of the Geib Funeral Center at Dover and a private burial will take place in Union Hill Cemetery at Sugarcreek at a later date.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Community Hospice, Truman House, 715 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663
