Maxine M. Sica

Maxine M. “Jane” Sica, 91, of Dover, died Tuesday July 10, 2007, in Union Hospital at Dover following a sudden illness.A daughter of the late Jesse and Lottie Wolfe Dotts, Maxine was born October 1, 1915, in the family home at New Philadelphia.Maxine was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School, a member of the First Moravian Church of Dover and its Women’s Fellowship. She will be remembered by many as a giving person who enjoyed knitting and surprising others with knitted baby clothing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo A. Sica, who died February 19, 1992; a brother, Max “Bud” Dotts and a sister, Lottie Dotts.Maxine is survived by sons, Pat (Tona) Sica, of New Philadelphia and Terry (Linda) Sica, of Gnadenhutten; daughters, Jayne Ann (Mike) O’Donnell, of Dover and Linda (Joe) Bell, of New Philadelphia; eight grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.Visitation will be held Friday, July 13, 2007 from 10:00am until 11:00am in the chapel of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia following which; Rev. Allen Bergman will conduct a funeral service beginning at 11:00am .
