Maxine J. Schilling, 68, of New Philadelphia, died at her home on Saturday afternoon, December 27, 2003, following a courageous battle with cancer.Maxine was born in Medina, OH, on March 17, 1935, a daughter of the late Herbert and Hattie Elizabeth Carr Snyder.She enjoyed a variety of vocations, self-employed as a beautician, as the proprietor of Sew Â?n Go Fashions, as a pet groomer, and as co-owner/operator with her late son, Bradley Lee, of Tall Timers Lake, Inc. She also was employed by both Lauren Manufacturing and the former Printz-Beiderman’s.Maxine will be greatly missed by her husband, Maurice C. Schilling; her daughters, Yvonne (William) Hunter of Dennison and Donita Sherer of Dover; sons, Donald Schilling of New Philadelphia and Barton Schilling of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Kimberly (William) Hayes of Cleveland, Erin (Aaron) Couts of Akron, Stacy Hunter and companion, Jenn Hunter, of New Philadelphia, Matthew (Stacey) Hunter of Dover, Christopher Hunter of Dover, Brock Schilling and his fiancée, Brooke, of Uhrichsville, Autumn Schilling and her finance of Strasburg, Bradley Michael Schilling of Dover, Rachel Schilling, April Schilling, and Amanda “Mandy” Schilling; several great-grandchildren; sister, Gail Lynn “Pee Wee” (William) Parrish of Dennison; brother, James “Bud” Gallagher of San Diego, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews.Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Bradley Lee Schilling; one grandson, Travis Hunter; two sisters, Mary Lou Coley and Norma Galloway; and one nephew, Robb Western.Friends may call on the Schilling family at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, December 30, from 5 Â? 8 pm. On Wednesday morning, December 31, at l0:00 am, services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel followed by graveside services at East Avenue Cemetery where Maxine will be laid to rest next to her son, Bradley Lee.
