Maxine Edwards

Maxine E. Edwards, age 95, of New Philadelphia, died peacefully, Friday, March 7, 2025, in her residence, surrounded by her family.

Born in Uhrichsville, Ohio on December 28, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Americo and Carmella Bisintiner Sattoria.

Following her graduation from the former Uhrichsville High School, Maxine was employed by the Timken Roller Bearing Company at New Philadelphia and married Robert D. Edwards. Together the couple had one daughter and shared in 52 years of marriage prior to his passing on December 29, 2003.

Maxine enjoyed working with her husband as an antiques dealer and also collecting antiques. She loved caring for her dog, Sassy, and being with her family.

Maxine is survived by her daughter, Robinette “Robbi” J. Robson of New Philadelphia; a grandson, Brandon Robert Robson of Dover; a brother, Jack Sattoria of New Philadelphia, and special family members, Alicia Marie Sattoria and Stephanie Sattoria.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling cremation care.

Maxine’s final days were made more peaceful thanks to the exceptional care and attention she received from her hospice nurse and home health aides. Her care team went above and beyond to help fulfill her final wish of passing in her home. The family is deeply grateful for their dedication and support.
