Mary T. Zamboni

Mary T. Zamboni, 96, of New Philadelphia, died, Wednesday, October 1, 2008 in Schoenbrunn Health Care at New Philadelphia.A daughter of the late Anthony and Carmella (Mobilia) Aveni, Mary was born August 11, 1912 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.Mary, who was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church at New Philadelphia, enjoyed her life and cherished her good health that she was blessed with until recently.She is survived by a sister, Jennie Garrett of New Philadelphia; two nieces, Jeanne (Donald) Postiy of Westerville, Ohio and Marsha (David) West of New Philadelphia; a nephew, Robert Garrett of New Philadelphia; four great nieces and two great nephews.Mary’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to her neighbors, Connie Fisher and Dan Ross, who looked after her and the dear staff at Schoenbrunn Health Care for their exemplary care.Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph Zamboni who passed away on August 8, 1970; on sister, Rose Yost and one brother, Vincent Aveni.Family and friends may call on Friday, October 3, 2008 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A graveside service will then be held at 11:30 a.m. in Calvary Cemetery at New Philadelphia with Monsignor George Schlegel officiating.Contribution may be made in Mary’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
