Mary A. Poletti, 89, of New Philadelphia, passed away peacefully in Park Village Health Care Center at Dover on Saturday, October 21, 2017 while surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Dennison on April 9, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosa (Constantino) Fausto.
After completing high school and attending Business College, Mary married the late Louis J. Poletti who preceded her in passing on May 27, 1980.
She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Church where she was a former typist, member of the Church Altar Society, a member of the Ladies Christian Benevolent Association, and a member of the Sacred Heart Senior Citizens. Mary was well known for making rosaries and was also a volunteer for the Ohio Reads Program.
Mary will be deeply missed by her children Patricia (Thomas) David of Collierville, TN, Rose (Dale) Martini of Bolivar, and Michael J. Poletti of Hawker Heights, TX; her brother, Sam (Linda) Fausto of Sebring, FL; her grandchildren, Brian (Meghan) David, Michael (Courtney) Martini, Maura (Chris) Maresh, and Christina (Kraig) Slutz; and her great-grandchildren, Claire, Cameron, Tyler, Tate, Jack, Katherine, Karson, Khloe, and Kiptyn.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in passing by her sister, Josephine Tiebout; and her brother and sister-in-law, Ross (Sally) Fausto.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 5 to 8 PM in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia with a Christian Wake Service beginning at 7:45 PM. Father Jeff Coning and Father Edward Keck will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church at New Philadelphia on Friday, October 27, 2017 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Dennison. A luncheon will be held in St. Ambrose Hall at Sacred Heart Church following the committal service.
