Mary Lucille Harding, 93, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, June 2, 2005 at Union Hospital in Dover.A daughter of the late Jasper and Jennie Booth Little, she was born December 8, 1911 in Guernsey County when William Howard Taft of Ohio was President of the United States.She was a graduate of Dellroy High School, class of 1928, and married her late husband Lester L. Harding September 11, 1931 at Wellsburg W.Va.She loved her family and took great enjoyment in her grandchildren and great grandchild. Lucille especially loved entertaining family and friends. She was a member of the First Christian Church in New Philadelphia, a 60 year member of the 39’rs Euchre Club, a NASCAR enthusiast as well as a member of the Race Goers Club. There were also the many years that she and her husband spent traveling the country in their motor home. She is survived by three daughters; Wanda (Peter) Blanar, Ruth Ann (Raymond) Middleton both of Marietta Ga. and Mary (Arthur) Cunningham of Gilmanton N.H.: five grandchildren, Brad (Carie) West, Kim (Tripp) Weeks, and Lisa (Ric) Tyran all of Marietta Ga., Lane Middleton of Jacksonville Fl., and Kerry Kohl, of Louisville Ky.; and one great granddaughter Allison West of Marietta Ga.In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by one brother Melvin Little, and one sister Pauline Huffman, one half sister, Elma Anderson, and two half brothers, George Little and James Little.Visitation will be Sunday June 5, 2005, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. Services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib chapel with the Rev. Ron Little officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in New Philadelphia.A reception for friends and family will be held at the Geib Family Center following the committal.Memorial contributions to honor Lucille’s life may be made to the donor’s choice.
