Mary Louise Otto

Mary Louise Otto, 79, of New Philadelphia, died September 27, 2006 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.Mary was born on January 15, 1927 in East Liverpool, Ohio, to the late Albert J. and Garnet M. Starr Russell. Mary worked for Scio Pottery for five years and then in the jewelry department at Nichols Discount Store for over twenty years. She was a lifetime member of the New Philadelphia V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the New Philadelphia Eagles Auxiliary. Jigsaw puzzles, word-find’s, reading and flower arranging were just a few of Mary’s favorite pastimes.Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Otto, her parents; daughter, Jeanie Maser, sisters, Alberta Russell and Rose Albaugh, and dear friend and companion Clyde “Buss” Lamb.She is survived by her children, Sandra L. Garbrandt of New Philadelphia, Barbara S. (Tom) Frohnapfel of New Philadelphia, Ron Otto of New Philadelphia, and Debra (Steve) Dowdle of Carrollton; grandchildren, Ron (Hallie) Garbrandt, Doug Delong, Angie (Drew) Lippencott, Michelle (Adam) Reynolds, Krista (Jeremy) Lindon, and Jamie (Matt Harmon) Kinsey; great grandchildren, Logan Armstrong, Griffin Garbrandt, Adina Lippencott, Blaize Kinsey, Kailee Lindon, Brianna Lippencott, Aliyah Reynolds, and Kamree Lindon. Also surviving are two cousins, Betty Davis of East Liverpool, Juanita Miller of Texas; son-in-law, Gary Maser, and longtime friend, Virginia Addison of Uhrichsville.There will be no calling hours and private family services will be held at a later date.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W.
