Mary Kathryn Kinsey

Mary Kathryn Kinsey, 78, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, May 15, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton.A daughter of the late Howard and Gladys (Jones) Zimmerman, Mary was born August 2, 1926 in Port Washington.She was a 1945 graduate of Stone Creek High School. She also graduated from Beauty School.Mary was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in New Philadelphia. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.She is survived by her children, E. Lynn (friend Dee) Kinsey of New Philadelphia, Kenny Kinsey of New Philadelphia, Kathryn Kinsey of Mineral City, Leslie (Ruth) Kinsey of Stone Creek, Ronald (Barb) Kinsey of New Philadelphia, Cynthia (Ray) Wise of Mineral City and Conrad (Becky) Kinsey of Dover; grandchildren, Chasity Dawn Kinsey, Alysia Nicole Kinsey, Gabrielle Faith Kinsey, Emilee Kathryn Kinsey and Katelinn Marie Kinsey; one step grandson, Kyle Andrew Everett; sisters, Betty Ott of Venice, Florida, Patsy (Bill) Bowman of East Sparta, Ohio and Norma Jean Boston; and her beloved dog Corky.Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Emery Edson Kinsey, Jr., whom she married on August 24, 1949, Elmer and Laura Metzger, who raised Mary after her parents passed away; and one brother, Eugene Metzger.Visitation will be Wednesday, May 18, 2005, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia. Service will be conducted by Alan Stutzman on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel. Burial will follow in Evergreen Burial Park. A memorial reception will be held in the Geib Family Center in New Philadelphia immediately following the committal.
