Mary K. Kinser, 77, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Canton following an extended illness.Born March 28, 1926, in New Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Bert & Bessie King Garner. Mary was a 1944 graduate of New Philadelphia High School. During WWII, she ran a lathe for a local factory. She then was married to Herbert E. Kinser who preceded her in death on August 17, 1978. Mary retired in 1992 after working 25 years as a waitress at Kinser Lanes. She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, and in earlier years served as a Den Mother. She greatly enjoyed her family, grandchildren and her dog.Surviving are two sons, Randy (Sheri) Kinser and Thomas (Carolyn) Kinser; and daughter Judy (George) Wilson all of New Philadelphia. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Shawn and Kris Kinser both of Akron, Adam and Clint Wilson of New Philadelphia, and Joshua Mathias of Columbus; five step grandchildren, Ron Flickinger of Strasburg, Debb Betts of New Philadelphia, John Stevenson of New Mexico, Christen Marzilli of New Philadelphia and Brian Stevenson of Wainwright; eight great Â?grandchildren; a sister, Clelia Huff of New Philadelphia.In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Murray and brother, Eugene Garner.Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 5, 2003, from 6-8 PM at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 6, at 1:30 in the funeral home with Rev. James Taggart officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice
