Mary “June” Glow, age 98, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2008, in Country Club Retirement Center at Dover, OH.Born June 28, 1910, in Grand Junction, Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Roman and Della (Grady) Glow.She spent her early years in Storm Lake, Iowa and St. Louis, Mo.; and later relocated to Chicago, Illinois until June 2000, when she settled in the Tuscarawas Valley.For more than 40 years, June worked in the offices of Illinois Bell. She loved traveling with her sister, Lois, and many dear friends. Of all of the many places June traveled, her favorite destination was Hawaii. While vacationing in Washington D.C., March 30, 1981, June and Lois, heard the shots fired that struck President Ronald Reagan as he exited the Washington Hilton.June will be deeply missed by her second cousin, Linda McTaggart, and her husband Patrick, of Scio and by all of the dear caregivers at Country Club Retirement Center. June will always be remembered as a true lady.In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Campbell and her niece, Patricia Campbell.Cremation will be conducted through the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A private inurnment service will be held in Calvary Cemetery at Dover.
