Mary Josephine “Mary Jo” Fiegl, age 76, of Strasburg, went to live with her Heavenly Father, Friday, July 31, 2020, while in the care of Community Hospice’s Truman House at New Philadelphia.
Born in Buffalo, New York on February, 8, 1944, Mary Jo was a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Arlyne C. (Roth) Wind.
Mary Jo earned an Associate’s Degree in the medical field and worked as a receptionist and scheduler at WellSpan York Hospital at York, Pennsylvania. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover and enjoyed serving as a member of the Pine Ridge Social Committee. She loved flower gardening, cooking, entertaining, hosting parties and being with her family. Mary Jo had a positive outlook on life. She lived everyday to the fullest and will forever be remembered for her laughter, hospitality, and love she displayed to all.
Mary Jo is survived by her husband, David Fiegl, whom she married on April 24, 1965, their children, Gregory (Tracie) Fiegl of Dover, and Lorie (Jamie) Wyatt of Max Meadows, Virginia; four grandchildren, Andrew Fiegl, Christine Fiegl, Dylan Wyatt and Kasey Wyatt; a brother, Michael (Carrie) Wind a sister-in-law, Pat Wind and many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary Jo was preceded in death by a brother William Wind.
The family will greet guests on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, from 4-6 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover where a Wake service will begin at 6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be led by Father Jimmy Hatfield Wednesday, at 11 AM in St. Joseph Church at Dover. Cremation care will take place through Geib’s Tuscarawas Valley Crematory. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the White Chapel Memorial Park at Buffalo, New York.
