Mary Helen “Tink” Dorsey, 89, New Philadelphia, died Monday afternoon, February 14, 2005, at Union Hospital in Dover.Born January 11, 1916, in Mill Township (Tuscarawas County), she was a daughter of the late Grover C. and Alice E. (Taylor) Kail, and was a 1934 graduate of the former Uhrichsville High School.On May 9, 1937, she married Robert J. Dorsey with whom she shared 60 years of marriage before his death in October of 1997.During World War II, she worked on the paint line at Goodyear in Uhrichsville and retired after 20 years of service at Tusco in Gnadenhutten. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia.Mary is survived by her son, Michael E. (Norma Jane) Dorsey of New Philadelphia; and two granddaughters, Tammy Kaye Dorsey, also of New Philadelphia, and Tanya Kaye Dorsey of Mayfield Heights, Ohio.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Jerry; grandson, Ty Allan; one brother, Paul Kail; and one sister, Faye L. Humphrey.Visitation will be at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory in New Philadelphia on Wednesday evening, February 16, 2005, from 5 to 7 p.m. Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Thursday morning, February 17, at 10:10 a.m. and will be followed by the celebration of a funeral mass beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Msgr. George J. Schlegel will officiate. Burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Dennison will be followed by a reception at St. Ambrose Hall, adjacent to Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia.Memorial contributions to honor Mary’s life may be made to the Senior Center of Tuscarawas County, 233 W. Third Street, Dover, O. 44622.
