Mary E. Klotz, 80, who resided at Carroll County Health Care in Carrolton and formerly of Mineral City, died Monday, May 6, 2002, at Union Hospital in Dover following an extended illness.Born in Sulfur Springs, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Nora Sauls Hail. She was a homemaker and a member of the Sandy Valley Church of God in Sandyville and a member of the Mineral City Senior Center.Her husband, George C. “Chester” Klotz, preceded her in death on April 17, 1977. Surviving are two daughters, Pina Louise Meek of New Philadelphia and Mrs. Burrell “Cathleen” Gibson of Midvale; a sister, Stella Mae Ashby of Johnson City, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Two infant daughters, Stella Kate and Ruth Eileen; an infant son, James Robert; a grandson, Daniel Eugene Meek II; a brother and a sister are also deceased.A graveside services will be held Friday, May 10, 2002 at 2:00 PM at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover with Pastor Clifford Hughes officiating. Burial will be at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Sandy Valley Church of God, 11281 State Route 800 NE, Magnolia, Ohio, 44643.
