Mary Dorothy Horsfall

Mary Dorothy Horsfall, 90, of Fry’s Valley, died Sunday, September 10, 2006 at the home of her daughter.A daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Stucky) Kinsey, Mary was born March 21, 1916 in Sharon Valley.She was a 1934 graduate of Gnadenhutten High School and two years later on May 9, 1936, she married the love of her life, Harold Horsfall. Along with Harold, Mary was the owner of Paradise Lake in Fry’s Valley for over fifty years.She was a member of Fry’s Valley Moravian Church. Mary enjoyed watching the hummingbirds around her home and she loved flowers. But most of all, she loved her family dearly and she cherished every moment spent with them.She is survived by her children, Harold (Joan) Horsfall Jr. of Fry’s Valley, Paul (Ruie) Horsfall of Fry’s Valley, Sylvia (Ronald) Stein of Old Town Valley and Barbara Walker of Fry’s Valley; 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Harold (Bernice) Kinsey of East Canton and Duane Kinsey of New Philadelphia; two sisters, Marjorie (Vern) Denney of Lee’s Summit, Missouri and Joy Light of New Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews.Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, who passed away on July 16, 1984, one grandson, Matt Stein; one great grandson, Bo Stein; four brothers and four sisters.Family and friends may call on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia. A funeral service celebrating Mary’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Chapel with Rev. Hugh Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Fry’s Valley Moravian Church Cemetery.
