Mary D. Fabiano, 87, New Philadelphia, died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, June 2, 2004.The youngest of seven children, Mary was born November 28, 1916, in Brookville, PA to the now late Emmet and Blanche Hanrahan McCullough. When she moved to New Philadelphia, she became the front-office receptionist and bookkeeper at Miller’s Studio, a position she maintained for 34 years, retiring in 1986 at the age of 70.Until she was in her early 80’s, Mary remained an avid bowler and a golf enthusiast, bowling in both the Senior League and the Country Club Ladies League and enjoying the courses at Green Valley, Zoar, and River Green.She is survived by one son, John (Jack) Delp of West Moreland, TN; nine grandchildren, Cindi Beitzel-Robinson and Susan Engeldinger, both of Dover; Jerry of IL, Tim, Tess, and Mike of TN, and Kim, Tam, and Shawna of New Philadelphia; nineteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, Sr., one daughter, Mary Jean Delp Beitzel, with whom she will be buried; one son, Thomas Joe Delp; one daughter-in-law, Demonia Delp; four sisters; and two brothers.Friends may call on Mary’s family Sunday afternoon, June 6, 2004, at the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory between the hours of 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm, and on Sunday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. A Christian Wake service will be conducted Sunday evening at 7:45 pm. On Monday, June 7, prayers will be said at the funeral home at 10:00 am and a funeral mass will be celebrated by Father William Arnold at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia. A private family committal service will follow cremation which will be under the care of the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory. For the care provided to Mary’s daughter and daughter-in-law by the Hospice organization, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 W. Third Street, Dover, OH 44622.
