Mary Catherine Breehl, 76, of New Philadelphia, passed away Tuesday morning, March 30, 2004, surrounded by her family.Born April 12, 1927 in Barnhill, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Marcus A. and Margaret (Wood) Page.After graduating from New Philadelphia High School in 1945, she married her husband, the late Eugene H. Breehl, Sr. Mary will long be remembered as a person devoted to her family. She loved to travel, and often her journeys led her to destinations where her family lived. In addition, she was a talented cook, loved to crochette, and had a green thumb in her garden. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia.She will be sadly missed by numerous family members including, two daughters, Cindy (Frank) Yosick of New Philadelphia and Lisa (Mike) Tomko of Florida; two sons, Rick (Norma) Breehl of New Philadelphia and Mike (Barb) Breehl of Utah. Also surviving Mary include her siblings, Delores (Charles) Williams of New Philadelphia, Bertha “Boots” Callanan of New Jersey, Barb Burton (Companion, Dale Dindo) of New Philadelphia, Marlene Morrison of Strasburg, Sandy Colombo of New Philadelphia, Sharon Harig of Uhrichsville, Mark Page of New Philadelphia, Keith Page, and Kenny Page; and a sister-in-law, Jeananne Page of Strasburg. Her six grandchildren also survive including, Rachael (Wes) Westfall of New Philadelphia, Terri (Larry) Wells of New Philadelphia, Carrie (Tim) Miller of Bolivar, Rick Breehl Jr. of New Philadelphia, Anthony Breehl of Stonecreek, and Cory Yosick of New Phialdelphia. She also was the great-grandmother of four.In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Fred Page, a sister, Ruth Maxwell, two sons, one daughter, and one grandson.At Mary’s request, no public visitation is scheduled. Friends are invited to join the family at a graveside service on Thursday, April 1, 2004 at 1:00 pm at the Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia where Msgr. George J. Schlegel will officiate.The family requests that memorial contributions be made in memory of Mary to the American Cancer Society, 201 West Ohio Ave., Dover, OH, 44622.
